There is a spiritual connection that happens when painting or experiencing a landscape on location. To understand the land one has to be part of it. Donna connects with the Rocky Mountains by hiking and back packing in the mountains. While hiking she photographs, sketches and then energetically paints large colourful, expressive acrylic paintings. Donna attempts to communicate her interpretation of the land and emotionally connect the spirituality of that experience to her viewer.
