Bio: I started my artistic experience with watercolours which made me see the world in a whole new way. When I was introduced to Chigiri-e which means "paper to tear", it opened up another world. Using textures of the papers that are imported from Japan and developing techniques to create pictures from photographs is very challenging and makes Chigiri-e very special to me. I have shown my artwork in many places including the Allied Arts Council of Spruce Grove, the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens, Grant MacEwan University, the Muttart Conservatory, Sussex Gallery and Generations Gallery. Some of my Chigiri-e has found homes in Australia, Ireland and the United States. The City of Spruce Grove has purchased two of my Chigiri-e pictures.
